You need your own my.Scouting account before Scoutbook will let you in. Use that same account at the Scoutbook login.

Create the parent account first
- Go to my.scouting.org.
- Create an account with your own name, birthday, email, and ZIP code. The first account is yours, not your Scout’s.
- If the site finds your existing record, claim it. If it says Recover Account, a login already exists for you.
- Open Scoutbook and sign in with that account. It is the same one you used to register.
Find your Scout
Your Scout should already be connected. Open their name to see rank, awards, and activities. If they are missing, contact the council registrar. Do not retype their legal name or member ID. Those have to match the application.
Give your Scout their own login
Only a parent can do this. A troop leader cannot grant it. Your Scout needs their own email address, not yours, and their member ID. Ask a troop leader for the member ID, then create a separate my.Scouting account for your Scout. Do not share your password.
