Most Scoutbook problems are an account or a roster connection, not a missing button. Start here before creating a second account.
A short video for this page will go here.
Your Scout is not on your Scoutbook page
Contact the council registrar and ask them to connect you to your Scout. The connection has to be on the official roster. It shows up in Scoutbook after that, usually the next day.
The site says Recover Account
A my.Scouting login already exists for that person. Recover it instead of creating another account. Two accounts for the same person will not both see the Scout.
You want your Scout to sign in
Create a new my.Scouting account for your Scout, with the Scout’s own email address. Ask a troop leader for the member ID first. A unit admin cannot turn on a Scout’s access for you. Do not give your Scout your password.
An activity still says Pending Approval
That is waiting on a troop leader. Submit it once, then ask the leader to approve it. Entering it again creates a duplicate.
A name or member ID looks wrong
Do not edit the legal name or member ID yourself. Those fields have to match the application. Ask the registrar to correct them.
