Two things get a family onto the troop’s regular updates: Slack, and the troop calendars. Slack is where announcements and outing sign-ups are posted. The calendars are meetings and outings.
Connect to Slack
The troop workspace is troops0330and2330.slack.com.
- Open troops0330and2330.slack.com.
- Sign in if you already have an account. If you do not, ask an adult leader to invite the email address you check. Open that email and use the join link. An invitation lasts 30 days. If the link is dead, ask for a new one.
- Use the Slack app on your phone, or stay in the browser.
- Announcements and sign-up links are posted there. If you cannot see them, ask a leader to add you to the right channel.
Import the troop calendar
Meetings are on the Troop 330 Event Calendar. Campouts are on the T330 Outings calendar. Subscribe to both so new meetings and campouts show up on your phone. Do not download a file and import it once. A one-time import will not stay current. You can also read the schedule on the troop calendar page without adding anything.
Google Calendar
Sign in to Google, open each link, and add the calendar when Google asks.
Apple Calendar
On a Mac, choose File, then New Calendar Subscription. On an iPhone or iPad, open Calendar, tap Calendars, Add Calendar, then Add Subscription Calendar. Paste one address, then subscribe to the other calendar.
Outlook
Choose Add calendar, then Subscribe from web, and paste the same address you would use for Apple Calendar.
